Attendance

Absence 

It is a legal requirement that children attend school as much as possible. If your child is unwell we require a telephone call or email to the school office before 8.30am on each day of their absence. If your child is absent and we have not been informed we will contact you. Please try and make medical and dentist appointments out of school hours. 

All term time holiday will be unauthorised.  If a child accumulates 10 sessions (5 days) or more of unauthorised absence within a 10 school week period, parents will be referred for a Fixed Penalty Notice.

Late arrival

We operate a rolling start, the gates open at 8.35am and the children make their way to their registration groups; our school day starts at 8:45am.  It is important that the children arrive at school on time to begin their lessons promptly. All arrivals (after 8:45am) must come via the office so they can be marked in the register (recorded as late). Persistent lateness will be referred to the educational welfare officer.
